Finance Specialist

Job Summary

Providing specialized financial management services, the full-time remote Finance Specialist will manage accounting, budgeting, reporting, and private award administration while assisting finance colleagues and project staff to ensure compliance with organizational policies and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor budgets and financial reports, communicating relevant information to project staff
• Administer financial transactions, including journal entries and private award reporting, while maintaining accurate financial data
• Coordinate multiple projects and deliverables, ensuring compliance with financial standards and legal requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination
• Experience with accounting and financial reporting systems, preferably Workday
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with GAAP and fund accounting principles
• Proven ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret financial data
• Experience in organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines
