Finance & Strategy Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Finance & Strategy Manager, this role will manage strategic financial partnerships and lead financial modeling for major negotiations while working remotely or from any Block office in the US, except Alaska.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the key Strategic Finance partner for Block's commercial partnership portfolio, managing financial narratives and strategies
- Lead financial modeling and deal advisory for partner negotiations, from initial framing to signed agreements
- Drive cross-functional strategic projects, collaborating with teams across Financial Operations, Product, Data Science, and Legal
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, or management consulting, preferably with a tech or financial-services focus
- Experience in financial analysis for commercial negotiations, including modeling deal structures and pricing mechanics
- Mastery of Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with SQL and modern analytics tools
- Proven ability to lead projects with cross-functional partners in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ability to build strategic viewpoints from incomplete information
