Job Summary

To support a remote contact center, the full-time Financial Advocate will manage patient financial estimates, communicate payment responsibilities, and assist uninsured patients in accessing financial assistance programs.

Key responsibilities
  • Calculates and provides personalized financial estimates based on insurance coverage prior to service
  • Educates patients on their financial responsibilities, including deductibles and payment arrangements
  • Interviews uninsured patients to assess financial needs and coordinates applications for assistance programs
Required qualifications
  • High School Graduate or GED/HSED
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in Patient Access, healthcare, insurance, or customer service
  • Solid knowledge of insurance operations related to denials and appeals processes
  • Basic medical coding knowledge
  • Understanding of billing and insurance denials
