Financial Aid Advisor

Job Summary

To support students in navigating their financial aid options, the full-time remote Financial Aid Advisor will provide guidance on financial planning, assist with the application process, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Guide students and parents through the financial aid application process, including verification and resolution of conflicting information
• Develop and communicate financial plans for students while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations
• Collaborate with Admissions Representatives to provide exceptional service to prospective students and their families

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or an Associate's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of related experience in federal and student financial aid
• Experience in financial aid or accounting is required
• Proficiency in customer service and problem-solving
• Strong basic computer skills, particularly in MS Office, with exposure to financial aid software preferred
• Ability to make presentations and interact effectively with individuals and groups
