Job Summary
Responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of grants and contracts in Emergency Medicine, the full-time remote Financial Analyst 2, Connecticut will oversee budgeting, conduct complex modeling for resource planning, and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements while cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Manage financial and budgetary oversight for a designated client portfolio, ensuring adherence to University and sponsor-specific requirements
- Conduct complex strategic modeling for Principal Investigators' portfolios to develop comprehensive financial plans
- Cultivate effective communication and partnerships with stakeholders while mitigating risks associated with sponsor non-compliance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, or finance
- Four years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and financial reporting tools
- Experience in financial planning and budgeting processes specific to grants and contracts
- Knowledge of federal regulations and compliance requirements related to sponsored research
