Financial Analyst

Job Summary

To support software and usage-based spend management, the full-time Financial Analyst will manage financial oversight of vendor relationships, drive budget accountability, and develop forecasting models while working in a hybrid environment from the Chicago office.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly and quarterly reporting on software and vendor spend, building dashboards for budget vs. actuals and trend analysis
• Develop financial models and lead the annual budgeting process for software categories, producing variance analysis with clear explanations
• Identify cost optimization opportunities by quantifying savings, tracking realized savings against targets, and managing vendor financial relationships

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related analytical field
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, particularly in technology or software spend management
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial modeling and experience with billing exports from cloud or SaaS vendors
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for spend reporting and dashboards
