Financial Analyst II
Job Summary
Providing financial and budget execution support for federal facilities management programs, the full-time Financial Analyst II will manage the distribution, obligation, expenditure, reconciliation, tracking, and reporting of appropriated funds while ensuring compliance with federal financial management requirements, with a preference for candidates to work onsite in Albuquerque, NM, or Reston, VA, although remote work may be authorized.
Key responsibilities:
- Executing and monitoring budget activities involving obligations, expenditures, allocations, and fund distributions
- Preparing recurring and ad hoc financial reports for leadership and analyzing budget execution data to provide recommendations
- Coordinating with acquisition, budget, finance, and program offices regarding funding actions and ensuring compliance with federal financial management policies
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting federal budget execution, budget analysis, financial management, accounting, or related federal financial operations
- Experience working with appropriated federal funds, including obligations, expenditures, allocations, and/or fund tracking
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and financial data analysis
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required federal suitability determination or background investigation
