Financial Clearance Associate

Job Summary

Financial Clearance Associate is a non-exempt position that involves completing the financial clearance process and working with medical staff and insurance payers to assist families in obtaining healthcare and financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient visit information to determine authorization needs and secure necessary authorizations
• Ensure timely acquisition of initial and subsequent authorizations
• May mentor less experienced team members on revenue cycle and payer issues

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 6+ months of behavioral health financial experience
• 6+ months of experience in prior authorization and insurance verification in a healthcare setting
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work standard daytime hours Monday-Friday within the Central time zone
