Financial Clearance Associate

Job Summary

Working remotely, the part-time Financial Clearance Associate will complete the financial clearance process by verifying insurance eligibility, confirming coverage for medications, and initiating prior authorizations while collaborating with medical staff and external sources.

Key responsibilities:

• Verify insurance eligibility and document information in Epic
• Review patient visit information to determine authorization needs and secure timely approvals
• Provide mentoring to less experienced team members on revenue cycle and payer issues

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 6+ months of experience with insurance and pharmacy benefit verification
• 6+ months of experience using basic retail medication knowledge
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Must be 18 years of age or older
