Job Summary

To support financial operations in a healthcare setting, the full-time remote Financial Clearance Associate II will manage pre-registration, insurance verification, and patient financial information while ensuring effective communication with patients and insurance companies.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all administrative and financial components of financial clearance, including pre-registration and insurance verification
• Inform patients of financial liabilities and document necessary information in appropriate systems
• Collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare staff to enhance the patient experience

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, hospital, or similar customer service environment
• Prior authorization experience in a hospital setting, particularly for surgery and MRI
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, especially managed care plans
• Certification on host systems to be obtained during the introductory probationary period
