Financial Clearance Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Representative L2 (OON/Special Coverages).

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitates customer interactions using health information systems and telephone technology to ensure a seamless experience
• Verifies patient eligibility and coverage with payors, and obtains necessary pre-certifications and authorizations
• Maintains relationships with medical staff and ensures accurate information is provided for billing and reimbursement

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher, or high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or related field
• Knowledge of coding, insurance, and billing/reimbursement requirements
• Experience with PC applications including MS Office and Internet
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive situations
• Must meet employer training requirements
