Job Summary
To support a dynamic healthcare team, the full-time remote Financial Clearance Representative will contact patients to collect insurance information, verify eligibility, and provide financial education while ensuring excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Contact patients or their designees to collect accurate coverage information and verify eligibility with payors
- Utilize health information systems to facilitate customer interactions and maintain patient records accurately
- Create financial estimates, educate patients on their financial responsibilities, and collect necessary copayments and deposits
Required qualifications
- High school diploma/GED with 1+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related field
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High level of interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations and build effective relationships
- Experience with PC applications including MS Office and Internet
- Ability to maintain employer training requirements
