Financial Clearance Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely from anywhere within the U.S., the part-time Financial Clearance Representative will manage the financial clearance process, verify insurance eligibility, and assist patients with their financial responsibilities related to healthcare services.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and document information in Epic
• Review patient visit information to determine authorization needs and secure timely authorizations
• Initiate prior authorizations for medications and mentor less experienced team members

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 6+ months of experience with insurance and pharmacy benefit verification
• 6+ months of experience using basic retail medication knowledge
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Must be 18 years of age or older
