Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist for a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiates contact with insurance companies to obtain eligibility and gather patient billing information
  • Accurately estimates patient financial liabilities and processes patient payments
  • Ensures pre-certification authorization is in place prior to services being rendered
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D., with a business concentration preferred
  • Four plus years of experience in a business office setting, preferably in hospital revenue cycle or healthcare
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is required
  • Associate degree or higher is preferred
  • Knowledge of third-party collections and reimbursement is preferred
