Job Summary
A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist - Remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiates contact with insurance companies to verify patient eligibility and gather billing information
- Estimates patient financial liabilities and processes payments while addressing patient inquiries
- Ensures pre-certification and referrals are in place prior to services and reschedules appointments as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.; business concentration preferred
- Four plus years of experience in a business office setting, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Prior experience in hospital revenue cycle or collection agency is required
- Working knowledge of personal computers and business office applications preferred
- Familiarity with hospital computer systems and knowledge of third-party collections preferred
