Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiates contact with insurance companies to verify patient eligibility and gather billing information
  • Estimates patient financial liabilities and processes payments while addressing patient inquiries
  • Ensures pre-certification and referrals are in place prior to services and reschedules appointments as needed
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.; business concentration preferred
  • Four plus years of experience in a business office setting, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Prior experience in hospital revenue cycle or collection agency is required
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and business office applications preferred
  • Familiarity with hospital computer systems and knowledge of third-party collections preferred
