Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographic, financial, and insurance information for scheduled medical services
• Collect patient payments and provide estimates for financial liabilities
• Initiate contact with insurance companies to obtain eligibility and resolve billing issues

Required Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D., business concentration preferred
• Four plus years of experience in a business office setting, preferably in hospital revenue cycle
• Prior experience in a healthcare environment is required
• Associate degree or higher is preferred
• Knowledge of third-party collections and reimbursement is preferred
