Financial Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Representative L2 (OON/Special Coverages).

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitates customer interactions using health information systems and telephone technology to ensure a seamless experience
• Verifies patient insurance eligibility and obtains pre-certifications, including necessary clinical and demographic information
• Maintains relationships with medical staff and external entities to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement processes

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher, or high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of coding, insurance, and billing/reimbursement requirements
• Experience with PC applications including MS Office and the Internet
• Ability to handle sensitive situations and establish effective working relationships
• Ability to maintain employer training requirements
