Job Summary
To support patient care operations, the full-time remote Financial Clearance Specialist will assist in financial clearance processes, including verifying insurance information, obtaining necessary certifications, and guiding patients in applying for financial assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Obtains certification from insurance companies for office visits and verifies insurance information
- Evaluates patient assets and liabilities to determine ability to pay and reviews alternatives to admission
- Completes pre-certification, credit applications, and performs follow-up work related to reimbursement issues
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of insurance policies, claims, and regulations
- Experience with data entry and customer service
- Ability to perform investigative work related to financial assistance
