Job Summary
Ensuring timely financial clearance for patient services, the full-time remote Financial Clearance Specialist will verify insurance benefits, obtain necessary authorizations, and maintain accurate patient records to minimize denials.
Key responsibilities
- Verify insurance benefits for new patients prior to evaluations and reverify as needed
- Obtain and accurately enter authorizations and insurance details into the EMR system
- Monitor authorizations and eligibility status to prevent revenue loss due to expired or exceeded limits
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- 1-2 years of financial clearance experience in a medical or health setting preferred
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and related government assistance programs
