Job Summary

Ensuring patients are financially cleared prior to receiving services, the full-time Financial Clearance Specialist will verify insurance eligibility, obtain prior authorizations, and maintain accurate documentation while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefit information through various channels
  • Submit prior authorization requests and monitor pending authorizations to ensure timely patient care
  • Communicate with patients regarding their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in insurance verification or medical authorizations
  • Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care insurance plans
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and payer portals
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
