Job Summary
Ensuring patients are financially cleared prior to receiving services, the full-time Financial Clearance Specialist will verify insurance eligibility, obtain prior authorizations, and maintain accurate documentation while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Verify insurance coverage and benefit information through various channels
- Submit prior authorization requests and monitor pending authorizations to ensure timely patient care
- Communicate with patients regarding their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in insurance verification or medical authorizations
- Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care insurance plans
- Proficiency in EHR systems and payer portals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
