Job Summary
As a full-time remote Financial Clearance Specialist, the successful candidate will manage patient financial responsibilities by verifying eligibility and benefits, securing authorizations from insurance companies, and exploring financial alternatives to ensure timely care and reimbursement for services rendered.
Key responsibilities
- Identifying the responsible party for payment and verifying patient eligibility and benefits
- Securing authorizations from insurance companies and exploring financial alternatives for patients
- Monitoring assigned worklists, creating and allocating policies, and ensuring effective communication with patients and clinical teams
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years of recent medical insurance collections experience in a hospital or large group practice setting
- Experience in insurance collections and follow-up or Denials Management
- In lieu of an Associate's degree, a total of five (5) years of medical insurance collections experience may be accepted
