Financial Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Controller to lead and build its accounting function as it prepares for an eventual public offering.

Key Responsibilities

• Own GAAP financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement accuracy
• Build, document, and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies in preparation for public-company standards
• Oversee accounting for multiple entities, joint ventures, debt structures, and complex ownership arrangements

Qualifications

• 8-15+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Familiarity with IPO readiness and public traded reporting/regulation knowledge
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and public-company compliance requirements
• Hands-on experience with consolidations, revenue recognition, and tax compliance
• Proven ability to build processes, improve systems, and scale an accounting function
