Financial Controller

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Financial Controller to manage the integrity of financial records, oversee accounting and compliance functions, and lead the payments team in a remote environment across US and UK entities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate completion across multiple entities
• Project manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory filing requirements
• Serve as the primary NetSuite administrator, overseeing system configuration and implementing process improvements

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in an accounting or financial controller role, preferably in a non-profit or multi-entity organization
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and/or UK accounting standards with hands-on audit experience
• Demonstrated compliance expertise in at least one jurisdiction (US or UK) in the non-profit context
• Experience managing or supervising staff, with a track record of developing team members
• Proficiency with accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and advanced spreadsheet skills
