Job Summary

Taking hands-on ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, the remote Financial Controller will manage full-cycle accounts payable, payroll processing, and tax compliance while supporting the month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding and timely payments
• Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records
• Prepare and submit monthly multi-state sales tax filings, ensuring compliance with deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of practical accounting experience
• Proactive mindset with the ability to resolve routine operational roadblocks
• Good working knowledge of GAAP and basic month-end close routines
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills
• Exposure to tools like Avalara, PEO platforms, or subscription billing/CRM software
