Financial Controller
Job Summary
To support the finance team, the remote Financial Controller will manage full-cycle accounts payable, payroll operations, and tax compliance while assisting with month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding and payment processing
- Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records
- Prepare and submit monthly multi-state sales tax filings and assist with compliance support
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of practical accounting experience
- Proactive mindset with a resourceful and self-motivated approach to problem-solving
- Good working knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting principles, and month-end close routines
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills
- Exposure to tools like Avalara, PEO platforms, or subscription billing/CRM software
