Financial Controller
Job Summary
To support the finance team, the remote Financial Controller will manage full-cycle accounts payable, payroll operations, and tax compliance while assisting with month-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding and payment processing
- Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records
- Prepare and submit multi-state sales tax filings and assist with compliance documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Proactive mindset with a resourceful and self-motivated approach to problem-solving
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with tools such as Avalara and PEO platforms
