Financial Controller
Job Summary
Taking hands-on ownership of day-to-day accounting, the remote Financial Controller will manage full-cycle accounts payable, payroll operations, and tax compliance while supporting the month-end close.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, GL coding, and timely payments
- Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and perform routine payroll reconciliations
- Prepare and submit monthly multi-state sales tax filings, ensuring compliance with deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of practical accounting experience
- Good working knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills
- Exposure to tools like Avalara, PEO platforms, or subscription billing/CRM software
- Resourceful and self-motivated with a proactive mindset
