Financial Controller
Job Summary
Managing day-to-day accounting operations, the remote Financial Controller will oversee full-cycle accounts payable, payroll processing, and tax compliance while supporting month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, bill runs, and resolving invoice discrepancies
- Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records
- Prepare and submit monthly multi-state sales tax filings and assist with month-end close schedules
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of practical accounting experience
- Proactive mindset with a resourceful approach to resolving operational issues
- Good working knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills
- Exposure to tax software like Avalara and payroll platforms
