Financial Controller
Job Summary
Managing day-to-day accounting operations, the full-time remote Financial Controller will oversee accounts payable, payroll processing, and tax compliance while supporting the month-end close process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, bill runs, and resolving discrepancies
- Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records
- Prepare and submit monthly multi-state sales tax filings and assist with compliance calendars
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of practical accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills
- Experience with tax compliance tools like Avalara and payroll platforms
- Proactive mindset with the ability to resolve operational roadblocks efficiently
