Financial Controller

Job Summary

To support the finance team, the remote Financial Controller will manage full-cycle accounts payable, payroll operations, and tax compliance while assisting with month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, bill runs, and resolving invoice discrepancies
• Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records
• Prepare and submit monthly multi-state sales tax filings while maintaining compliance calendars for annual filings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of practical accounting experience
• Proactive mindset with a resourceful and self-motivated approach to resolving operational challenges
• Good working knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting principles, and month-end close routines
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills
• Exposure to tools like Avalara for sales tax and PEO platforms for payroll processing
