Job Summary
A company is looking for a Financial Counselor to assist patients and their families with insurance reimbursements and payment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer patients' billing questions within an average of 24 hours
- Assist patients in understanding their benefits information and set up payment plans
- Ensure department goals are met and comply with HIPAA and the Privacy Act
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of medical billing/insurance verification or financial counseling experience
- Strong billing knowledge and ability to maintain good work habits
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with rapid changes
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
