A company is looking for a Financial Counselor to assist patients with insurance and financial inquiries in the psychiatric healthcare field.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage for upcoming appointments
• Gather accurate insurance information from patients and guarantors
• Provide cost estimates and discuss financial arrangements with patients

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in accounting or a related field preferred
• At least three years of patient accounts experience with insurance companies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Understanding of health insurance eligibility, benefits, and claims processing
• Knowledge of Revenue Codes, CPT/HCPCS codes, and diagnosis codes
