Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Counseling Representative to provide financial counseling and support to patients regarding their financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer billing questions and clarify insurance coverage and charges
• Assist patients in setting up payment arrangements and applying for payment assistance programs
• Educate patients on insurance concepts and provide cost estimates for medical procedures

Required Qualifications and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education preferred
• Two years' experience in healthcare service or health insurance preferred
• Knowledge of third-party payers and basic bookkeeping or accounting principles
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures for clarification and problem resolution
• Computer skills sufficient to operate online systems and complex software
