Job Summary

Financial Counselor, responsible for maintaining communication with patients, facilities, insurance companies, and physicians regarding patient liabilities prior to surgical procedures in a full-time, hourly position.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain contact with patients regarding out-of-pocket costs, self-pay fees, deductibles, and co-insurance for surgeries
• Communicate with insurance companies about patient costs for surgeries
• Update and correct patient demographic and insurance information

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED minimum education requirement
• Experience working with and interpreting medical insurance and benefits required
• One year minimum healthcare or related experience required
• Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite
