Job Summary

Providing essential financial guidance, the full-time Financial Counselor will assist patients and guarantors in understanding insurance benefits and financial liabilities, while managing payment arrangements and inquiries throughout the client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform insurance eligibility checks and validate coverage for scheduled appointments
• Advise patients on financial arrangements, including cost estimates and payment alternatives
• Respond to billing inquiries and collaborate with other departments to address financial concerns

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• At least three years of experience in healthcare with a focus on patient financial responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of health insurance eligibility, benefits, and claims processing
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive interactions with professionalism
