Financial Counselor

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the remote contract Financial Counselor will screen patients for eligibility in support programs, verify insurance benefits, and complete financial cost estimates while working 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Screen patients for enrollment eligibility in support programs and verify insurance benefits as needed
• Complete financial cost estimates and obtain prior authorizations while ensuring proper documentation
• Communicate with on-site client staff to collect necessary signatures and resolve client concerns

Required qualifications

• Proficient in payer billing and requirements, with experience in healthcare billing
• Experience with life science and charitable foundation patient support programs
• Background in oncology or specialty practice is desired
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
