Financial Educator
Job Summary
Consulting with patients on their benefits and financial options, the full-time remote Financial Educator will perform benefit verifications, assist with prior authorizations, and provide ongoing financial education throughout the patient care continuum.
Key responsibilities
- Consult with patients regarding their benefits, coverage, and financial options
- Perform benefit verification and prior authorization tasks
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining and updating financial and insurance information
Required qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of medical business office experience with knowledge of healthcare billing and collections
- Experience reading and understanding payer remittance advice
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience in an OB/GYN office is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
