Financial Management Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting NOAA, the remote Financial Management Analyst will manage financial analysis projects, assess and improve financial management processes, and develop automated tracking models while working full-time during Eastern Time Zone business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects related to financial management analysis for NOAA, focusing on process improvements and automation
• Conduct detailed assessments of financial management activities, identifying gaps and making recommendations for enhancements
• Transform accounting system data into automated Google Sheet workbooks and presentations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in federal finance, budgeting, or a related field; a Master's Degree may substitute for 2 years of experience, and a PhD for 4 years
• Proficiency in creating user-friendly Google Sheet workbooks using advanced functions like VLookup and conditional formatting
• Ability to drive efficiencies and motivate team members during process changes
• Strong oral presentation skills to effectively communicate findings to management
• Experience with government financial systems and terminology is preferred
