Job Summary
To support billing and collections processes, the part-time Financial Records Coordinator will oversee patient records related to various payers, ensure compliance with documentation requirements, and generate reports while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily admission and recertification documents to ensure timely receipt of billing documentation
- Communicate with team managers to ensure compliance with billing-related documentation and report issues to directors
- Coordinate with various departments to obtain necessary pre-billing information and maintain accurate billing files
Required qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, or Certificate in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience in billing and collections within a healthcare organization
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing regulations
- Experience with Medicare DDE is a plus
- Proficiency in computer office/clinical software
