Financial Reporting Analyst

Job Summary

To support financial reporting needs, the full-time Financial Reporting Analyst I will prepare quarterly and annual GAAP and statutory-basis financial statements, assist in audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with options for remote, hybrid, or onsite work in Kansas or Missouri.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual statement filings and external reporting requirements
• Contribute to the preparation and coordination of annual/quarterly financial statement audits

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or a related field
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles (STAT)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Specialized knowledge of costing, line of business, and governmental accounting for certain aspects of the role
