Job Summary
Supporting the Vice Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, the full-time remote Financial Specialist will oversee budget preparation, financial analysis, and compliance oversight for approximately $31M in annual operating expenditures across multiple departments within the College of Medicine.
Key responsibilities
- Manage ledger and clearing accounts, ensuring compliance with University policies while resolving complex financial issues
- Compile and analyze financial data for forecasting and executive reporting, preparing dashboards and presentations for leadership
- Coordinate financial reporting and operational support activities related to core facilities and graduate education operations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong financial management and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Proficiency in providing project funding analysis and financial guidance to stakeholders
