FinOps Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the FinOps Analyst will monitor and analyze cloud spending trends across AWS and Azure, identify cost optimization opportunities, and collaborate with Finance and Engineering teams to develop accurate forecasts and budgets for technology spend.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and report on cloud spend trends across AWS and Azure
• Identify cost optimization opportunities through discount commitment strategies and rightsizing
• Build and maintain automated dashboards, KPIs, and internal reporting for enhancing cloud cost visibility

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a financial analysis role within a technology department
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud FinOps and with AWS and Azure cloud platforms
• Strong data analysis skills using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
• Experience using cloud cost management tools like AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Management
• Familiarity with FinOps governance, cloud cost optimization strategies, and cost allocation methodologies
