FinOps Engineer

Job Summary

To drive cloud cost optimization and financial accountability, the full-time FinOps Engineer will work remotely, bridging engineering and finance to enhance infrastructure efficiency and business outcomes through data analysis and process automation.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain cloud cost visibility through tagging strategies and billing analysis across multi-cloud environments
• Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities, including reserved instances and architectural improvements
• Develop and automate FinOps processes such as cost forecasting and budget management while collaborating with technical and business teams

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
• Demonstrated experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices in production environments
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud billing and cost analysis tool (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management)
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) for workflow automation
• Strong analytical skills to interpret cloud billing data and drive actionable recommendations
