FinOps Engineer

Job Summary

To support cloud cost management and optimization, the full-time remote FinOps Engineer will execute the FinOps lifecycle, perform cost analysis, budgeting, and anomaly detection, while collaborating with engineering, finance, and procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cloud cost governance, including budgeting, forecasting, and anomaly detection across multi-cloud environments
• Execute full FinOps lifecycle activities using cloud cost management tools in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Design and implement systems for aggregating and analyzing cloud billing and usage data to drive cost optimization initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related technical field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) certification preferred
• Proven experience in cost model design and financial controls in cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of cloud economics and cost accountability practices
• Experience with Lean-Agile methodologies in a collaborative team setting
