Job Summary
Supporting cloud financial management operations for the Administration for Children and Families, the remote FinOps Specialist will manage cloud-cost analysis, develop chargeback models, and deliver financial reporting while ensuring accountability and cost optimization.
Key responsibilities
- Perform ongoing cloud-cost analysis to identify spending trends and optimization opportunities across multiple cloud service providers
- Develop and maintain chargeback and showback models for accurate allocation of cloud costs to various business units
- Build and deliver biweekly dashboards and reports reflecting cloud spending trends, budget variances, and actionable insights for stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, or IT finance
- Experience with cloud-cost-management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer or Azure Cost Management
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing chargeback or showback models in a multi-team environment
- Strong understanding of cloud-pricing models and cost-optimization strategies across major cloud providers
