FinOps Specialist

Job Summary

To support cloud-financial management operations for a government customer, the remote FinOps Specialist will perform ongoing cloud-cost analysis, develop chargeback models, and deliver financial dashboards while ensuring financial accountability and cost optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ongoing cloud-cost analysis across multiple cloud service providers to identify spending trends and optimization opportunities
• Develop and execute chargeback and showback models for accurate cloud cost allocation to business units
• Build and deliver biweekly dashboards and reports on cloud spending trends, budget variances, and risks

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, or IT finance
• Experience with cloud-cost-management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer or Azure Cost Management
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing chargeback or showback models
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
