Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, a FIPS 140 Security Engineer will manage various validation projects, conduct security analysis, and perform vulnerability testing to support national defense initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Work on varied FIPS 140 validation projects and execute product evaluations against Technology Type standards
- Conduct vulnerability testing, physical security testing, and system-level logical analysis
- Engage in source code review activities and automate testing through scripting
Required qualifications
- Cryptographic Validation Program (CVP) Certification is required
- BS degree with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in testing environments and technical writing
- Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, PKI, and security-related protocols
- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java
- Familiarity with network setup, subnetting, and routing concepts
