Job Summary
To support government-grade cryptographic validation efforts, the remote FIPS Certification Engineer will assist with compliance testing, collaborate with engineering teams, and create technical documentation for certification projects in a long-term consulting role.
Key responsibilities
- Support cryptographic validation projects by ensuring adherence to FIPS 140-3 requirements
- Perform compliance testing and document findings for certification activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess gaps and track remediation efforts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline
- 2-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, or related fields
- Working knowledge of FIPS 140-3 and other security compliance standards
- Experience with Linux systems and programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python
- Understanding of networking and security technologies, including encryption protocols
