FIPS Certification Engineer

Job Summary

To support government-grade cryptographic validation efforts, the remote FIPS Certification Engineer will assist with compliance testing, collaborate with engineering teams, and create technical documentation for certification projects in a long-term consulting role.

Key responsibilities

• Support cryptographic validation projects by ensuring adherence to FIPS 140-3 requirements
• Perform compliance testing and document findings for certification activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess gaps and track remediation efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline
• 2-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, or related fields
• Working knowledge of FIPS 140-3 and other security compliance standards
• Experience with Linux systems and programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python
• Understanding of networking and security technologies, including encryption protocols
