FIPS Certification Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting certification and compliance efforts, the long-term remote FIPS Certification Engineer will assist with testing, validation, and documentation to ensure networking and security products meet FIPS 140-3 standards while collaborating with engineering teams and gaining hands-on experience in cybersecurity and cryptography.
Key responsibilities:
- Support FIPS 140-3 compliance initiatives by assisting with testing and validation activities
- Collect and maintain certification documentation and compliance deliverables
- Execute compliance test procedures, document results, and track remediation activities
Required qualifications:
- 0-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, networking, or a related field
- Familiarity with FIPS 140-3, NIST SP 800 Series, or other security certification frameworks
- Understanding of secure software development principles and cybersecurity concepts
- Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line tools
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline
