FIPS Certification Engineer
Job Summary
Assisting with compliance assessments and certification activities, the fully remote FIPS Certification Engineer will execute FIPS 140-3 certification for networking and security products while collaborating with testing laboratories and developing technical documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Execute FIPS 140-3 compliance and certification activities for networking and security products
- Support product validation by performing compliance testing and documenting results
- Collaborate with testing laboratories and internal teams to track certification milestones and improve compliance processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related technical disciplines
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure development practices
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks, including FIPS 140-3 and NIST SP 800 Series
- Working knowledge of Linux, networking protocols, and programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or C
